Ensuring the quality of electricity in power supply systems using contactless devices

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

Relevance: in recent years, Uzbekistan has been working to introduce modern energy-saving technologies into the energy sector. Due to the widespread automation of production processes and the introduction of automatic control systems in industry, the requirements for reliability, speed and durability of electrical equipment have increased significantly, and at the same time, maintenance of equipment during operation should be minimized. Contactless electrical appliances generally meet these requirements. The problem of creating reliable and economical starting and switching devices as elements of electrical equipment for alternating current circuits is of great importance for ensuring uninterrupted operation, accuracy and speed of power plants. The use of semiconductor contactless switching devices in various industries and in difficult climatic conditions in the field of automatic control of power supply systems is promising.

Aim: development and research of a contactless switching device for automatic quality control and reliability of power supply systems using semiconductor contactless thyristor voltage relays, characterized by high reliability and high speed, combining a sensitive system and a powerful executive body.

Methods: the principle of operation and characteristics of the proposed device, which is used as an automatic reactive power control device by automatically turning on or off capacitor banks that compensate for reactive power, as well as turning on or off the supply transformer circuit when the input voltage changes, in order to maintain the rated mains voltage. Electricity consumers have been theoretically and experimentally investigated.

Results: using the studied circuits, it has been established that it is possible to develop a device for automatic reactive power regulation by automatically switching on or off capacitor banks that compensate for reactive power, as well as switching on or off the supply transformer circuit when the input voltage changes, in order to maintain the rated voltage of electric consumers.
