Automated device for cleaning solar panels from dust contamination

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

Relevance: in the context of global climate change, renewable energy sources play a crucial role, particularly it is solar energy. . Therefore, in recent years, new photovoltaic power plants (PVP) of different capacities have been built. According to data, by 2030, electricity (EE) generation in Uzbekistan will reach 120,8 billion kWh/year, where the share of PVP will be 9,9 billion kWh (8.2 %). It should be noted that dustiness of the optical surface (OS) of solar panels (SP) of PVP is a serious problem that significantly reduces their efficiency. Dust contamination on the OP can reduce the efficiency of panels to 50 %, thereby reducing EE generation. Therefore, research on the development of automated cleaning devices is relevant.

Aim: development and analysis of technical parameters of an energy-efficient automated device for cleaning the optical surface of a solar panel from dust contamination.

Methods: international experience and methods of comparative analysis of demand management are used.

Results: based on a comparison of various devices, an energy-efficient and automated device for cleaning solar panels from dust contaminants has been developed, which allows one cleaning cycle to be performed in 24 seconds.
