Development and analysis of metrological requirements for inclinometric converters for verti-cal and inclined well trajectory control systems
Abstract
Relevance: the article examines the metrological requirements for inclinometric converters used in vertical and inclined directional well drilling. Improving the accuracy of determining the spatial position of the wellbore is one of the key tasks of modern drilling production, as the safety, economic efficiency, and technological effectiveness of drilling operations depend on the reliability of inclinometric measurements. The main factors affecting the accuracy of zenith and azimuthal angle measurements, as well as the spatial orientation of the instrument under conditions of high temperature, pressure, vibration, and impact loads, have been analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the requirements for measurement error, the range of measured angles, resolution, reproducibility of results, temperature stability, and long-term reliability of inclinometric converters.
Aim: improving the metrological characteristics of converters is an important direction for developing modern well construction technologies and ensures risk reduction, trajectory optimization, and improving the quality of geological exploration and operational works.
Methods: international experience and methods of comparative analysis of demand management are used.
Results: the results of research on forming and substantiating metrological requirements for inclinometric converters operating under vertical and inclined-directional drilling conditions, taking into account the influence of operational factors on the accuracy of measuring well spatial position parameters.
