Study of methods for assessing the efficiency of photovoltaic modules and devices

Abstract

Relevance: this scientific article scientifically analyzes the methods for assessing the efficiency of photovoltaic modules and devices. The development of solar energy utilization technologies plays an important role in the energy supply system. Therefore, determining, analyzing and optimizing the efficiency of photovoltaic modules is one of the current issues. The article examines in detail the physical foundations of the photovoltaic effect, the structure of solar cells, the volt-ampere characteristic, and methods for assessing efficiency in laboratory and real operating conditions. Modern monitoring systems and efficiency improvement technologies are also analyzed. Methods for assessing the efficiency of photovoltaic modules and devices are scientifically analyzed. The share of renewable energy sources in the Republic of Uzbekistan is growing rapidly, especially as a result of the large-scale integration of solar power plants into the power system, new problems arise in real-time control of the system frequency and voltage. Since solar energy is inherently variable and its power is difficult to predict, the issue of maintaining a balance between production and load, in particular, assessing the efficiency of photovoltaic modules and devices, is becoming increasingly relevant. Aim: the study of methods for assessing the efficiency of energy sources, in particular photovoltaic modules and devices of solar power plants, aims to identify problems arising from their integration into power systems, analyze their impact on the system, and develop methods to ensure its stability.


Methods: in order to evaluate and analyze the efficiency of photovoltaic modules and devices in power systems, modern theories of solar power plants, photovoltaic modules and devices, and nonlinear mathematical programming methods were used.


Results: the results of the assessment of the impact of increasing the efficiency of solar power plants, photovoltaic modules and devices are presented.
